Last reviewed: 25 September 2026 If you are travelling from Germany to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, you need a valid visa. For German nationals, an electronic tourist visa is generally possible and, according to the official Saudi information, it can also be used for Umrah under the applicable conditions, but not for Hajj.
Short answer
The visa is valid for 365 days (1 year) from the date of issue and allows multiple entries. It is valid from the date of issue, not from your planned travel date. The maximum total stay is 90 days — this allowance is calculated cumulatively across all your trips during the validity year and is not renewed with each entry. The visa can be used as an entry visa during the annual Hajj season, but performing Umrah during this period is not permitted. Umrah with the eVisa is only possible outside the Hajj season.
Umrah-Hilfe supports you with your visa application. We submit the application on your behalf via the official platform and help you with the required details and documents. Government fees and our service fee are shown separately.
We are not a tour operator. Our service covers visa application support and handling payment of the government fee on your behalf. Flights and hotels are booked separately by you with external providers.
For the application, you mainly need a suitable passport and a current passport photo. The German Federal Foreign Office states that your passport must generally remain valid for at least six months at the time of entry or visa application.

Validity and stay
The visa is valid for 365 days (1 year) from the date of issue and allows multiple entries. It is valid from the date of issue, not from your planned travel date. Example: if you spend 20 days in Saudi Arabia on your first trip, you have 70 days left for all further trips within the validity period.
Do I need an extra Umrah package?
No additional Umrah service package with hotel or transport is required for the visa service we offer. The visa and your travel arrangements are separate matters.
For the Umrah itself, however, you need a valid Umrah permit. According to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, this permit is obtained through the official Nusuk app by logging in, choosing the Umrah permit service, selecting an available appointment, and issuing the permit.
The app is relevant for the permit, but Nusuk is not presented here as a separate package provider for this service. Official steps:Umrah Permit Application.
